Lot 9 Brewing

Lot 9 Brewing is a brewer-owned nano-brewery in Bluffton, in the heart of the Lowcountry. The partnership traces back to Hurricane Matthew in 2016, when brewer Walter Trifari needed storm shutters and Dana Briggs, who ran a storm protection company, needed a beer. Trifari has brewed professionally in five states, and his Märzen took a bronze medal at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival. The small system means short batches and a frequently changing tap list, with a few regulars alongside new releases. Staff are trained as Cicerone Certified Beer Servers, and beer is served in nucleated glasses meant to keep a steady stream of bubbles rising. The taproom is set up for lingering, with long communal tables and a stack of new and retro games. There is no in-house kitchen; local food trucks rotate through instead, and beer is available to take home.
