Hazelwood Brewing

Hazelwood Brewing Company occupies the former boiler room of Lexington’s historic Old Mill, a long-abandoned space the founders restored before opening the brewery. Its roots are agricultural: the Hazelwood hop farm along the Wateree River has been growing hops since 2005, and it supplies a portion of the brewery’s estate hops along with other ingredients. That farm connection shapes the beer, which is made by hand using traditional methods, and the tap list rotates through seasonal ales and lagers. An in-house kitchen serves sandwiches, flatbreads and bar snacks, and wine and cider are also poured. Trivia and a weekly bluegrass night are regular fixtures. The beer garden borders the Old Mill Trail, and an upstairs loft and the garden can both be booked for private events.
