Steel Hands Brewing – Cayce
About
Steel Hands Brewing sits on a four-acre site in Cayce, just outside downtown Columbia, and takes its name from the CMC Steel rebar plant directly across from it and the industrial work that surrounds it. Opened in December 2018, it is one of the larger production breweries in the Midlands, running a 30-barrel automated brewhouse and a canning line, and its beer is distributed across much of South Carolina and into Augusta. Core beers include a Tropical IPA, Foreman Golden Ale and a coffee lager made with beans from Loveland Coffee. The 2,500-square-foot taproom has a full kitchen serving small and large plates and a kids’ menu, plus Sunday brunch. Outside, an open lawn and stage host free live music several days a week, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor area. Free brewery tours are offered, and tables can be reserved for private events.
